I am recruiting this position on behalf of the American Bar Association (ABA). ABA ROLI is a non-profit program that implements legal reform programs in roughly 60 countries around the world. ABA ROLI has nearly 700 professional staff working abroad and in its Washington, D.C. office. ABA ROLI’s host country partners include judges, lawyers, bar associations, law schools, court administrators, legislatures, ministries of justice and a wide array of civil society organizations, including human rights groups.
Job Summary:
ABA ROLI is seeking a Libya USAID Program Director, responsible for major program implementation, management and oversight of strategic and tactical elements of the program in the country. The position is currently based in Tunis, Tunisia and reports to the Libya Country Director.The program director would be responsible for the implementation of ABA ROLI’s USAID-funded program “Supporting consensus building for the national dialogue, constitution drafting, and governing process in Libya.” The program is designed to contribute to the reconstruction of the social contract in Libya by providing all Libyans, including women, youth and other marginalized groups with the opportunity to participate in the creation of a revised constitutional framework, effective national institutions, and the social, economic and security conditions necessary for Libyans’ well-being.
