Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist in Jordan

Title: Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist

Location: Jordan. City TBD.

Anticipated Start Date and duration: November 30, 2018  The proposed project will last 4 years and is contingent on TMG’s success in teir bid for funding.

I am retained to accept applications for this Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist position on behalf of The Mitchell Group (TMG). It is for the USAID/Jordan Enhancing School Management and Planning (ESMP) proposal to be based in Jordan   Qualified Jordanian nationals will be given  strong preference.

Roles & Responsibilities: Reporting to the Chief of Party, establishes performance measures, collects and analyzes performance information, plans and manages evaluations, and assists the management team in using the performance information for decision-making and resource allocation.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in economics, statistics, or related field required
  • Qualified Jordanian nationals will be given  strong preference
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience related to international development, preferably in Jordan
  • Must have experience in relevant technical, management, administrative, and capacity building experience in developing countries
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative methods, including design, analysis and interpretation of results
  • Experience in Implementation of performance standards and reporting against PMP indicators
  • Familiarity with USAID policies and M&E systems preferred
  • Excellent English writing and editing skills
  • Prior international experience required; experience in Jordan or region preferred
  • Fluency in English and Arabic
  • Effective cross-cultural / interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve work issues with senior country counterparts, donor representatives, and senior-level staff
  • Demonstrated work with associations is preferred (e.g., engineering or construction associations)
